Manufactory
The manufactory and its workshops have been the heart of Niessing since 1873. Every piece of jewelry is crafted in Vreden — from the melting of gold and platinum bars to the finished piece itself. At Niessing, the entire manufactory operates under one roof. Workshop and design department collaborate closely in research and development.
Design
The Niessing design philosophy has its roots in the Bauhaus movement. We strive to break the rules, explore new paths and open closed doors. The traditional art of goldsmithing, technological innovation and design are inseparably connected at Niessing. Inspired by architecture, natural phenomena and the power of color, we create jewelry that is reduced to the essentials.
History
Niessing has stood for masterful goldsmithing and innovative spirit since 1873. What began as a workshop for devotional objects and wedding rings evolved into an internationally renowned jewelry manufactory in Vreden. To this day, the Bauhaus idea shapes not only the design of what Niessing produces, but also the way that Niessing thinks, develops and crafts them.

THE ESSENCE OF NIESSING
For more than 150 years, Niessing has combined traditional goldsmithing with technological innovation and visionary design. Proprietary precious metal alloys, iconic jewelry pieces such as the Niessing Spannring®, and the close collaboration between design, development and manufactory, make it possible to create jewelry that is thoughtfully crafted down to the smallest detail — and often accompanies people for a lifetime.
SEAMLESS WEDDING RINGS
A ring with no beginning and no end—as endless as love. The seamless Niessing wedding ring has been crafted for over 120 years at the manufactory in Vreden using a uniquely developed process and can be safely resized by several ring sizes.
POINTED SETTING
The pointed setting technique is also a Niessing invention—and remains unique to this day. This specially developed and continuously refined technique allows for the setting of more brilliant-cut diamonds than any other method. The stones radiate with maximum sparkle and fire, while the surface of the jewelry remains perfectly smooth.
SPANNRING
Pure, clear, timeless: The Niessing Spannring® is the modern solitaire. The magic of a great idea—the precious stone is mounted in the ring without any setting and seems to float above the hand. Held in place solely by the invisible force of tension. As a registered work of art, it is now on display in museums around the world.
NIESSING COLORS
Colors found nowhere else in the world—over 40 unique gold shades, as warm as sea sand, as radiant as a sunset, so delicate that the gold seems to blush. At its manufactory in Vreden, Niessing has completed the color wheel in gold—and with Solaris, Iris, and Aura has even developed unique color gradients.
