Niessing´s commitment to its homeland

Since 1873, Vreden near the Dutch border has been the home of the Niessing Manufactory. And Vreden is also home to Europe's northernmost free-living flamingo colony in the "Zwillbrocker Venn" nature reserve.

In cooperation with the Westmünsterland Nature and Landscape Foundation, Niessing has set itself the task of protecting the local flamingo colony and - very importantly - preserving the habitat of this beautiful bird species.
